This is an invitation to be together, to share energies and yet to be fully with oneself, engaged with what happens inside. It is an invitation to pause for a moment, to become receptive, because only an awakened yet passive mind can perceive reality as it is. Based on traditional practices connected to Indian philosophy, this workshop aims to open our awareness to rules and harmonies that are deeper than human rationality. If we succeed, we may begin to perceive a cosmic dance within us as well as around us, with clarity and an open mind.

Dies ist eine Einladung, Energien zu teilen und sich auf das zu konzentrieren, was in einem selbst geschieht. Es ist eine Einladung, einen Moment innezuhalten und empfänglich zu werden, denn nur ein erweckter und dennoch passiver Geist kann die Realität wahrnehmen. Basierend auf traditionellen Praktiken, die mit der indischen Philosophie verbunden sind, zielt dieser Workshop darauf ab, unser Bewusstsein für Regeln und Harmonien zu öffnen, die tiefer liegen als die menschliche Rationalität. Gelingt uns das, können wir einen kosmischen Tanz in uns und um uns herum wahrnehmen.

BIO
Linda Samaraweerowa
Linda Samaraweerová is a choreographer, performer and dancer who develops choreographic works across sculpture, installation, performance, dance, theatre, video and film. Her projects are presented in theatres, museums and galleries and have been shown regularly at Tanzquartier Wien since 2009. Other venues include steirischer herbst, brut Wien, ImPulsTanz, Donaufestival, LENTOS Museum Linz, Neue Galerie Graz and KM – Künstlerhaus, Halle für Kunst und Medien. Internationally, her works have been presented in France, the Czech Republic, Romania, Italy, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Germany and Switzerland.
After more than 30 years of international artistic practice, her work has gradually shifted away from the idea of production and presentation, by being strongly attracted to an inner spiritual journey that guides her towards a deep hidden knowledge that was transferred from generation to generation within small and rather silent circles of humble human beings in different parts of this world.
